Dronovi su u protekla dva dana stigli na Međunarodni aerodrom Priština, zbog čega su raspoređene snage sigurnosti.
Mediji u Turskoj pokušali su od kosovskog Ministarstva odbrane dobiti zvaničnu informaciju, ali “nadležni iz ovog ministarstva nisu reagovali na pozive”.
Ministar odbrane Armend Mehaj tokom prošlogodišnje posjete Turskoj upoznat je sa dronovima i najnovijom tehnologijom koja se proizvodi u kompaniji “Baykar”.
Također, i kosovska predsednica Vjosa Osmani prošle godine posjetila je fabriku dronova “Bayraktar”.
Inače, ovaj turski dron dobio je na popularnosti zbog rata u Ukrajini u kojem se uspješno koristi u zaustavljanju ruske agresije.
Predsjednik Srbije Aleksandar Vučić u aprilu 2022. najavio je mogućnost kupovine „Bayraktara“.
“Tražio sam od (turskog predsjednika) Erdogana da preko reda nabavimo ‘Bayraktare’ i uvrstimo ih u naoružanje Vojske Srbije”, rekao je tada Vučić.
